I too recently tried this trial, but it did work on both Android and iOS for me.
As far ListView, which is the main reason for looking into the tools, in particular for ease of Grouping. I found some documentation here: http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/xamarin/controls/listview/listview-overview
Perhaps Telerik can provide additional assistance. :)
